Christmas and after

Cherries, Barbie, strawberry pavlova

Vegetarian baked ricotta with anti pasto, ravioli stuffed with mushroom and goat's cheese, potato salad. Up at the meat eaters' end, a baked ham.

After Christmas, Bundeena... Bonnievale Beach

More beach - very hot!

Post beach lunch - delicious!

Hopeful Basil but no handouts...

Another hopeful - Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, always living in hope to the point of sneaking into the house!

Christmas, Boxing Day, were wonderful. Now a few days at the beach and some good weather to go with it. Happy New Year, everyone!

  1. Oh I think I'd have to sneak a few handouts to those charming little faces! (love the bird!)
What a great spread on the table...YUM!
Glad it was a good day for you and yours, and what a beautiful setting too....

    1. Anne, we had a wonderful Christmas and now I'm really being lazy, just loving the sunshine and the wildlife.

  2. In our house the furry critters and the birds do get extra Christmas hand outs. And we have learnt that the cockatoos would much prefer a green apple to a red one.
I like the idea of a vegetarian end and a carnivore's end to the table. I may have to institute that idea.
The pav and raspberries looked most excellent. As did the beatch. The heat? No.

  3. EC, the cockatoos are so entertaining, definitely the clowns and acrobats of the bird world, at least in this garden.

  4. C-looks like the celebrations rolled on - lots of grand gatherings and food. Loved the cocky in the last shot; and impressed you used blog press on your iPad - well done. Go well and have heaps of joy and peace in 2013. B

    1. B - ah yes, trying to blog on the iPad. Easier than using the iPhone. Celebrations did go on, which was lovely. And now it's 2013 and we have a new start. Joy, peace and extra good health to you Barry!

    1. Almost the calm before the heat, Mo! Now we've experienced so many different varieties of weather that its hard to remember those idyllic days after Christmas.

  8. What lovely images! I am impressed that you are blogging from you iPad. I may have to give it a try! Dave gave Kristin an iPad mini for Christmas, and she doesn't see the point in having one, since she uses her iPhone for everything (she has young eyes & smaller fingers!), and then today he was given an iPad mini at work, because he has excelled in his performance over the past year (while taking care of Charlie too!). I think they may be too small for me. So many options, so little time! LOL
I've gotten off track! Basil is a slight little fellow - our Marley is twice his size, which isn't good! Your beach pictures are wonderful! I so love the beach!!! ....and the food is to die for! ;-)

    Happy New Year!

  9. Basil is a cutie! I've found when I use comment moderation for a while, the spam stops...for a while. It's crazy but hate being held hostage to spammers.

    1. Sandra, Basil is a big softie. I'm annoyed by the spammers too, and I find they regularly add comments to very old posts. Thank goodness for Delete.
